Head ID Help

I am trying to identify the heads I have in my car. I was told they were made by Kauffman motorsports, but now I am thinking maybe made by TFS for Kauffman. So here are a few questions.

1. How long has TFS been in business? I know the heads have been on the car since 1992, is why I ask. I also know they are aluminum.

2. Where should I look for #s? Here is what I know so far Front of pass. head has TFS-302-351-188 stamped on it. Back has a KM stamped on it.

Any help would be appreciated. An I don't have any pictures. Just trying to find out for my machine guy when I do pull it out in a month or two and get some work done.

I am trying to find out the model #, so I can get more specs. on the heads. Do you think that is the model #. I didn't see anything like that on there website. I tried calling them today, but was a few minutes past closing there time (ET dang)! May have to wait until Monday.

Anyone else know more about these heads. I know alot of people here run TFS.

Well I was able to talk with someone at trickflow. Amazingly enough they knew some info on my heads. They were made by Trickflow for Kauffman Motorsports back in 88-93. They shipped Kauffman the high port aluminum heads at 69 or 64cc, but I don't know what I have unless I take it off. They were able to tell me what to look for to tell the difference. As far as other info they were going to look, but weren't sure about valves or anything else. Hopefully they will e-mail me.

But until then anybody know anything else about these? I was told I had 9.5:1 compression by the guy who did own the car, but who knows.

I am new at the small block fords, as far as internals, what would be the best bet for me 69 or 64ccs? It is a weekend car only. My plan is to go completely through the motor this summer, so I can know what I have and I need to replace some seals and do some polishing.

well a motor is a air pump so if you have the fuel and spark to burn it, the more air the better, if you are going all out becarful with the stock block they like to split in half above 450-475 hp, the stock bottom end will hold more power than the block. gl
