Building my 5.0 as we speak with 205 cc trick flow twisted wedge heads, 1.6 roller rockers, ford e303 cam, upper and lower trick flow intake, stock pistons with valve reliefs re cut deeper.. anyone know if its a bad idea to use stock lifters or not??

I'd spend the extra $130 on new FRPP hyd roller lifters and be done with it. Especially (assuming) if you have a new cam, new push rods and new roller rockers you wouldn't want used lifters that are a little worn to be mated with brand new parts. That's be like buying brand new brake rotors and reusing your old brake pads.

If the cam is not brand new and was used with those lifters and the lifters aren't that old then I'd say you're okay so long as all the lifters check out and are working well. If those lifters are old or questionable then I'd replace them.

I've used stock lifters on simialar builds before with no issues, heck I've even used comp lifters on my own rides as well as customers and not had an issue as some may claim comps are junk and noisey...lol

The lifters sit in the block so if they are original lifters+original block I think you are actually better off re-using them. What kind of rockers are you using ? Minimize your lifter preload for best results.
