I am going to be putting gt40 heads on my car in the near future... I have a pile of turbo stuff to go on the car also, but realistically that will not be in near future. Should I go with stock gaskets or upgrade?
9333 pt1 and dont look back!
For the rise in cylinder pressures, I would go with Fel-Pro Loc-wire gaskets. You will need to get your heads machined for them, but I've had them on mine for 20 yrs with supercharger and no issues. Do studs also. Remember Windsors have only 8 head bolts. Not one of Fords "better ideas".
Got all the gaskets and timing chain, looking at head studs now, can these be used without pulling the motor? I don't really want to pull the motor to do HCI. I already have a motor on my stand and I don't have a hoist.9333-1. Use studs also.
I will have the headers and h pipe off to do the swapYes can be done in car, you will need to get under it though to unhook the exhaust manifolds from the rest of the exhaust.
