The next project begins... Vortech JT trim install. I'll post some pictures along the way as I have a chance. A lot of the 2014 components carried over but the more and more I look the more I find that there are a lot of changes that Ford made. I'll outline the big ones in the the install progress.
Lets start by disassembling the front end of the car...

Blower Bracket and Intercooler mock up. The blower bracket fits just as it does on the 2011+ cars. The intercooler is close and required some minor elongation to the mounting tabs but fits perfectly. The throttle body hose connections are quite a bit different most due to the IMRC controls. This is very much a trial process. Trans cooler lines and AC lines are completely different on this car as compared to the 2011+ coyotes. No major hurdles this far

Next I had to tap the oil pan for the blower drain.... This sucks.. no way around it. The unit I'm using in oil fed as compared to other self contained units. Balancer and water pump were removed and both had to be replaced. Balancer switched to 8 rib and water pump is different for 2015 so a 2012 unit needed to be sourced

Here you can see the swaging punch and tap used for making the hole.

Here you can see my perfectly punched and threaded oil pan... car has less than 200 miles on it at this point by the way.. lol

Drain fitting threaded in with a bit of silicone. This went as well if not better than expected!

I don't know if I'd have the heart to punch a hole in an oil pan with only 200 miles on it
Vortech has plenty of options for self contained units. I have the go big mentality and that required me to go to this extreme. Most guys you will find run a V3Si or Novi2200 which will both make 700hp and can still be self contained as far as the lubrication system goes.
