Hey all,

So the hood issue is fixed im on to the next one. My manual shifter seems to be very loose when im shifting gears, Is there anything i can do to make it firmer and less wobbly?

Thanks!

Do you happen to know if it's the stock shifter or if it's an aftermarket shifter?

First thing, just check if the knob is loose on the handle. If it is, then you may need to pry the plastic bezel off (that surrounds the bottom of the shift boot) and see if the base of the shifter is securely attached to the transmission. It's just 4 bolts that hold it on...that is, if it's the stock shifter.

If it's an aftermarket shifter, then the handle will probably have a couple bolts that hold it to the shifter "base." The base will still be attached with 4 bolts, but the handle would be a separate piece, depending on which shifter it is.

Yeah, I would bet the handle is loose that's holding it to the shifter "base." Definitely pull that trim bezel up and check if the bolts that hold the handle on are tight.

I had that happen to me once with my Tri-Ax...one of the bolts had loosened up to the point that it just came completely out when I tried doing a 4th to 5th shift on the highway at 55 mph...that wasn't fun. LOL.
