Went and looked at a Notchback yesterday. It's a 93 red, 4 cyl., Auto. The guy is asking $1100 which seems decent to me. I heard the engine run & I shifted through the gears. Shifted pretty hard. Had minor damage to the drivers quarter as well. I don't care to do the bodywork either. Also needs a catalytic converter and starter solenoid. No rust from what I saw. I didn't get completely under the car, but it looked good. Here's the link to some pics and details. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/cto/4810140612.html

The seller has a buyer coming Saturday to pick it up. I would like to get a good deal, but I also don't want another project. I'd like to keep it plain jane/mild.

your money and your call, but no way I would ever buy a 4cyl auto fox. Unless I was gonna stuff a complete new drive train in it. IMHO if you are looking for a cheap DD I would look elsewhere.

I was thinking that too. Does the 93 4 banger come with 7.5" in the rear?
yes, it has a 7.5 rear.
there is nothing on a 4 cyl mustang ( save for the k member) that you can retain if you plan to upgrade that car. Every thing is matched to match the performance capability of that engine.
if you're lucky, the original stake may still be in the glove box.

back in the day, drivers of the 4 cyl cars used that stake to mark the ground to see if the car was moving.

Ha-ha enough said. Thanks!

I had a 93 2.3 5speed and it was not a great daily driver. It only got in the mid 20 mpg as you need to be on the throttle to keep up with traffic. It was so worse in the snow than my 5.0 car as it has an open rear and any weight to help with traction just slowed the car down.
