Per the LMRS website

"1979-86 Mustangs and 1987-93 2.3L Mustangs need to use 1987-93 5.0L spindles, struts, and calipers for this kit to work.

Here is a list of wheels that will work with this kit without modification:
99-04 SVE 10th Anniversary
95 Cobra R Wheel
94-95 17" "Tri-Bar" GT Wheel
94-98 16" Waffle Star Pony Wheel
94-97 Cobra Wheel
94-04 15" V6 Wheel
94-04 16" V6 Wheel
SVE Drag Wheels
Weld Draglites
Weld Prostars
Weld Rodlites
Bogarts
Billet Specialties Street Lites
Centerlines"

I've seen the occasional "attempt" around my area. 2005 and newer Mustang wheels have a real deep offset. Therefore when installed on a Fox they sit waaay up under the car (narrowing the track).
In short: They look like Poop!!!!!!!

The only way to make them work you'd have to run spacers to bring them back out.

It looks like the 94-95 Mustang front spindles and 94-98 Mustang rear axles are the only way to get a 5 lug setup that uses the variety of wheels that most guys like. It's time for a trip to the junkyard and getting dirty...Or maybe wait for springtime... :D

You'd need some big spacers for them to sit right. Using 1 or 1.5" spacers might just push the fronts out far enough to clear the dust cap and work. The rears will mount fine. The issue is the front dust cap on the fox brake setup, which is why sn95 brakes are usually recommended.

The main issue is tht s197 wheels will sit deep, so you need 1" or bigger spacers.

Rear clearance for the quad shocks when using S197 wheels?
Any thoughts or clues for this guy before he makes the plunge?

No spacers, he would def have issues. They would have to be removed.

Only way to run these wheel is spacers, and personally, if you need 1" or more spacers to run a wheel, the wheel does not fit and should not go on the car.

Just 8mm wider than 94-95 spindles.

Pushes the wheel out further but also increases the turning arc of the front wheels. With spacers this might be an issue. Running while turning could be a huge problem. You could have some serious rubbing issues while turninh

I guess I should've said I passed on the S197 wheels and will probably go with some earlier style wheels so I won't be needing spacers
