Motor Number # In The 4.6 Sohc 1996

Hello people, i have been trying to find the motor number in my 4.6 SOHC 1996, did someone know where i could look for it? Have been trying to find it for some time and still no luck, thanks.

Are you asking for where the serial/VIN number is? If yes, Ford no longer does this. There are no numbers that tie a specific block to a specific car.

Or are you asking how to tell what kind of block you have? If so, post the number of bolts on the valve cover. Note the odds favor a Romeo block (11 bolt).

Hi wmburns, thanks for your answer, i'll check how many bolts are on the valve cover as soon as i get my car back, right now is at the mechanic because we are installing the new clutch kit.
