Build Thread "Rising from Ashes" 94 Cobra build thread

same here! honestly, this thread is the only reason I still come back to Stangnet LOL
Thanks man...and you guys that started with the tread are probably why I still update it.
Sounds good man thanks for the tips! Im working on tinting the headlights and tail lights. Im assuming still sand the lenses with 600, but should I buff them back clear before I spray the tint? Wet sand between tint and clear?
No...if your gonna smoke them just tint your clear with black toner. A little goes a long way so start with a table spoon and test. 3 coats of clear and done. Then you could wet sand and buff them but be careful if you do, its takes some experience to buff, especially small parts.

Well heads are here, so i guess they need to be thrown on the Dart block. I'm going to go thru the pains of polishing them first though.

And well..who tears apart a car with just a few thousand miles on it...That would be me. But I must say...it still smelled new coming apart.

That made me cringe.
LOL! It really aint that bad at all. I once disassembled a new one that had 15 miles on it and completely repainted the car.

I'd probably give up my left nut for a set of those recaros Up there for my coupe drooool
A good vintage set of Gen 1 or Gen 2 Recaros can be had for pretty cheap and then its just foam repair and upholstery. They are the ideal seats and I love them...especially in foxbodies. I actually like them better than the Flofits in my Saleen.

I had one of those bumpers on my '02; my favorite new edge front bumper of all time. It looks better than the terminator front end, in my opinion.
I agree plus they fit into the rare parts catagory so that's makes it even better.
The plan for the Mach is too correct everything that I'm not happy with and back on the road by summer. Above that built/blown 4v motor with a 6 speed.

it's amazing what OCD does to you!!! LOL
It causes me constant problems like repainting an almost new car. LOL!

Back to the original topic. I spent some hours working the T-1 wing which is a pretty good piece. But needed a lot of work to be perfect. One side was a little closer to the quarter so I shaved the driver side down to an exact match to the passenger side. Then I added a little here and there to get both sides exact.

Then I got the top laser straight. Blocked and primed the spoiler four times after the initial block and filler work.

Next I'm going to smooth the corners and back and get a few more coats of primer over the whole piece.
