Hello All,

I have a 2012 GT 5.0, I am thinking about putting a supercharger in it. I have a few questions below.

- Best supercharger for the buck? I am looking at the roush (575HP), and Ford Racing (624HP) kits. Any other kits I should look at?
- What do I have to keep in mind, in terms of maintenance on the supercharger? What are the long term costs?
- I have an Eibach pro system plus lowering kit (from American Muscle) installed; struts, shocks, springs, front/back sway bars. Is this good enough for a 550+hp bump?

My apologies if these questions are answered on this forum, searched here and Google (still confused).

Thanks in advance!

I think the 575 roush for a few reasons but the main one being you don't want to push the limits of the stock internals. Then you have to think about a one piece driveshaft and clutch. One hard launch and say by by to that driveshaft. The supercharger won't be your only expense. Things will break.

The Roush and FRPP kits are both nice. I have a ProCharger on my 2011 5.0 and I love it! The car drives like stock at low rpms, but put your foot on the go peddle and things get serious! To be more specific, the car ran 10.89 @ 128 when the motor was stock and the car was slammed on 19" tires.

JLB3, I was thinking the same thing; going with the roush 575. Which would be more than enough hp for me on the track.

Sharad, any modifications to your handling; or, just new tires?

I have staggered 18"s, 10 on the back, 9 on the front. I assume that should handle fine with a supercharger?

Hehehe... well... suspension is how I make a living. My 2011 5.0 uses the full UPR Pro Street handling package. I'm into handling, so I typically avoid staggered setups because I like to keep that handling balanced, but I'm not gonna lie- I went staggered this time around because it's SO MUCH easier to drive the car through the corners with all that extra power from the supercharger when you have a little extra grip in the rear. (currently on 275/35-20 Front and 295/35-20 rear, probably going to switch to 285/35-20 R888 front and 315/30-20 R888 Rear before my next HPDE)
