Fuel Would Like To Know Your Supercharged Fuel Setups 500 Rwhp+

As the title states, I am interested to see what you guys are running on your supercharged 500 rwhp+ cars. I rebuild my 331 last year with my Vortech V2-Si blower making approx 14-15 psi. When I was having it tuned last fall, I had to stop at 4900 rpm as I began running out of fuel and the AFR began to climb. My RWHP was at 505 and my RWTQ was at 502. At the time I was making 11 psi of boost. I wasn't anticipating making that kind of power and I know I need to upgrade my fuel system.

My current setup (which I know is too small) is a 255 lph in tank pump, stock fuel lines, stock rails and 42 lbs injectors with an adjustable boost referenced fuel pressure regulator. I do not think my regulator was boost referencing however.

Prior to dumping a pile of cash into a complete system front to back, I'm curious as to what you guys are running. Please post your combos and what power you are making.

Oh, and before anyone says "you'll split the block", I'm running a Dart block with all forged internals so I'm not worried about that.

Thank You.

You are right at the point where more is going to mean rails and lines. A voltage controller for your in tank pump would be nice too.

If you're already running a 4 bolt block then keep an eye on systems you can build in stages. If it's a stock block... You should stop where you are until it isn't.

Nice numbers by the way. :nice:

Edit: Oh... a 255L HighPressure intank pump and voltage controller will fix your current issue. You can even run a larger pump if necessary but I don't think it will be.

I have a Dart Iron Eagle block. I'm just curious if I really need to replace the lines if I jump up to a 340 lph in tank and bigger rails and injectors. I've read that the stock lines can handle 600 hp but I'd like to hear it from someone in a real world situation. I've been considering the complete fuel system from Glenn's Performance.

I'm running an Aeromotive Stealth 340 lph intank, stock lines with 60lb injectors. I have an adjustable regulator although the car is tuned on an SCT chip. My Novi is making 12 psi. A/F is good all the way up the scale.
My car made right at 500rwhp while dialing in some minor issues last year on the dyno. I had lean A/F issues at the top with a Walbro high pressure 255lph pump because the 60's were emptying the stock fuel rails and the 255 couldn't keep up.
After swapping in the Aeromotive Stealth 340lph, my tuner was able to clean it up all the way to 6000rpm.

By the way,, I still have a stock block.;)

I had a stock block until last year. Had it for 8 years but it did split eventually. Thats why I went with the Dart this time. My car is also tuned with an SCT chip. I was hoping to get away with the 340 lph in tank, 60# injectors and larger rails. I don't want to have to replace all the fuel lines unless I absolutely have to.

I figure one day whenever I enter into the "I split my block" Club I'll upgrade to a Dart. LOL
Try the Stealth 340lph intank first before you buy larger rails. Its a simple 45 minute swap and It fixed mine right up. That pump is dead silent too.

Good Luck!

I've been told hundreds of times the lines and rails are done by the low 500rwhp. Sounds like you have a very nice combo. Just going to have to splurge and buy a good system like the Glenn's or Aeromotive stealth kit. I would expect with the proper system you're going to be pushing 600rwhp.

Yes, I figure I will be around the 570 rwhp mark with a conservative tune. I still have 1000 rpm and 4 lbs of boost to go. I think I know the answer, just wanting some real world experiences instead of reading off the internet.
