Ok guys my new project is an 80 Fairmont Futura. I'm putting a 347 in it with a c4 auto. Motor is going to be a little nasty 450 or more hp. It's going to be carbed. I plan on putting a sump in the tank, but I am a little lost after that. I've been told to run the holley blue pump. But what do I need for lines and fitting etc? I need help from the tank right to the carb. Sizes of lines, etc. All my past cars have been fi, so I need a little guidance. Any good write ups on what to do? Thanks

When you set up your system, make sure the pump mounting is at or slightly below the sump level. Also, do yourself a favor and put an inline fuel shutoff valve on the sump outlet to allow for filter and pump maintenance without having to drain or lose your fuel. You will need to replace the frame line with a half inch pipe (there is bulk 1/2 inch aluminum line for this). The pump and main filter are mounted in the rear of the car. Your fuel pressure regulator can be mounted on the firewall or right fender apron. Install a fuel pressure gauge (there are some nice electric units out there, they are safer for the street). That's about it except for installation and mounting details.

Why are you putting an electric pump on this car? A mechanical pump will provide plenty of pressure and volume for carbs with more reliability than most external electric pumps. If you are using a roller block, it seems a different front cover and an eccentric should do it, but I have not installed one myself.
