Hey guys, I'm new to this whole forum thing but I need some help with my build. So far I have all the parts I need to start putting my car ('89 GT) back together(just finishing up the framerail replacement). So far I have waiting to be put in, an x302B crate, edelbrock rpm2, accufab 70mm, 36# Ford racing injectors. My question is, I'm going to get it custom remote tuned and am looking for a non-calibrated tuneable MAF sensor and am having trouble finding the right one? I've been told to get the one from the Lightning but I think 90mm is a little overkill. I've been trying to find reviews on an Abaco digital but all are mixed. Any input would be much appreciated.

way too much injector IMO but that's what you have. The LMAF will work, so will most Pro M's You are getting it tuned so it doesn't matter what the MAF is calibrated for.
Great, thanks! So my tuner should be able to mess with the calibration that the company put in the sensor? I know it's too much injector, I was planning on doing more to the motor but the cdn $ is so bad right now I can't afford too and I already have them. It shouldn't have any negative affects though?

If you purchase a new Mass Air from ProM or PMas, you can get the 30 point transfer curve from them. All your tuner has to do is input that curve into the calibration. It should be close enough that he shouldn't have to mess with it after that. And if he does, it won't be much.

your injectors are fine you won't have any issues there, they are most likely the 36lb injectors and some people refer to them at 34s because thats what they flow at 39psi which ford uses
if your going to buy a maf get the best money can buy, a pmas hpx-e slot maf in a 3" pipe, the whole she-bang can be had out the door for $200 including the pigtail
be sure you get with a tuner that will give you a tune update when you throw boost at the ride, the maf will support it, if you get bigger injectors now (perhaps siemens deka 80s from poweraddersolutions >> hint hint) then you can have the tune dialed in now so when you throw boost at it later you won't have to get it retuned, just make sure you let the tuner know so he can setup the tune correctly
be sure before you take your vehicle to get tuned that its actually ready to be tuned, thats a common mistake made often, this will give you all the info you need
