They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

I would like to use this as a place for everyone to post dyno information for their 2015+ as it becomes available. Lets use this a resource for others to see what modifications you make and how they affect your power output. When posting dyno information please state any modifications and what engine/transmission combination you use.

Thank you,

Nick

This is our first dyno session with our 100% Stock 2015 GT automatic:

372 RWHP and 347 RWTQ We are using a Dynacom Eddy Current Load bearing dyno

This will be the baseline used for all of our in house future modifications.

Special thanks to All Out Automotive for the late night last minute dyno time!

I saw an American Muscle video the other day. They dynoed a stock ecoboost at 257 rwhp and 277 rwtq.

93 octane, automatic, not sure what rear end it had in it.

I test drove one, and of course I'm spoiled with my 5.0, but wasn't too impressed with it.

How many miles you got on it?

Right now, 1200 miles. It was on the track at 500 and on the roller at 800. ;-)

Some folks like to baby them when new.....I say forget that, find the weak link right off the bat. If it's gonna break, time doesn't make it any better. Might as well find the weak spot before you start modding the crap out of it.

Mine was dyno at 65 Miles, followed by exhaust and more dyno time. Blower kit at 200 miles and turned 500 miles on the road course. Lol, The 1000 miles that are on my car are all very hard miles, if it breaks you just have to fix it :D

Yeah, I don't baby it for the first 1k miles. I don't use speed control and I vary my rpms too. I was droping into 5th occasionally on long stretches too. I get on it hard here and there. Took it up to 110 on some back roads around 300 miles. I'm up to 1100 now! Love this freaking car!

The automatics are a little different, just for reference sake the automatic gear ratios are:
First 4.17
Second 2.34
Third 1.52
Fourth 1.14
Fifth 0.87
Sixth 0.69

We dyno my car in 4th gear and use an offset table in the dyno software for the gear ratio

I thought the 3.15 diff made it the same overall ratio as the 3.31 in the manual?
It's hard to say, remember that there are different gear ratios available for the auto cars as well at the stick cars. For example my Automatic GT has the factory optional 3.55 rear gears

Same here. 3.55's in mine.

If I'm not mistaken the options in the manual ate 3.15's, 3.31's, 3.55's and 3.73's in the PP cars.

Personally, unless this was STRICTLY a run up and down the highway car, I wouldn't want higher than 3.55's.

I think the Auto comes with 3.15 standard, 3.55 optional. And the Manuals come with 3.31 standard, 3.55 & 3.73 optional.

I go up to about 45 in first, and 70 in second. You guys seem to be about 40 in first, 60 in second. That sound about right?

A little off topic, but staying on topic of transmissions:

What is the manual transmisison (or transmissionS i guess,) used in the new mustangs? The V6, the Ecoboost and the GT? Getrag or something?

I'm wondering if all of the 6 speed manuals are the same trans or different ones.

As far as model specific manual transmissions go, the tech info that I've seen shows the V6 and EcoBoost cars sharing the same trans gear ratios and the GT with a gear ratio set all to itself.

Do you happen to know what model trans is in the V6/Eco boost and which is in the GT then? (ie: the old tremecs being T56, T3650, etc etc)
