Power Steering Spewage

So I had to move the mustang out of the garage onto the street. Currently the serpentine belt is off, so I figured no problem, only have to run it for a minute. I get the car out on the street, having to make a 3 point turn since it's steering like a truck. Later put the car back in the garage, no problem, running fine. Looking out of the garage I see a stream of fluid all the way back out to the street, and a nice puddle where the car was sitting, and a matching puddle under the car now in the garage. Looking under the hood, the power distribution box is covered in fluid, as well as wet down the side of the inner fender. Pulling the cap off the PS pump, the little flaps attached to the cap have trapped more fluid, which dumps out when I pull the cap out. Funny thing is the fluid level in the pump looks fine.

Any thoughts on what happened?

And anyone know what gets PS fluid out of cement?

dont turn your wheel with the belt off, or the engine not running. Very typical Ford characteristic. there is nothing wrong with your car.

Purple power works, put it down when the sun isnt out, and the ground is cool. scrub with a brush and let it sit. rinse after 30 minutes

OK, thanks, was hoping that was just normal behavior, just had never heard of it before.

Haven't heard of purple power, but tried some Castrol heavy duty degreaser that did a good job too. Can always tell when I'm wiping up Mobil 1 with it, since it turns purple.

On a positive note, it was time to change the PS fluid anyway, must have dumped out a good half of it.
