Progress Thread My Kenne Bell Twin Screw'd Foxbody thread, (new addition to the family)

I gotta keep focused and stay strong with this build.......yesterday I was real close to just saying eff-it and buying a Procharged 306cid Coupe that was turn key and in decent condition. I really got get some progress done and get driving this thing soon. Working full time + OT with 3 kids leaves hardly any time for a build like this.

I almost want to just buy a turn key car and do small improvements on it during weekends and the winter. Problem for me is I could never own another Fox without wanting so smooth and wire tuck the engine bay. Then I'd pretty much be back to where I'm at now, lol. I have tons of respect for anyone that can start and finish a car build regardless of what type of vehicle it is.

I feel you man. I have to say though, having had the massive projects and then having the stockish car that I did little projects to, I'd pick the latter again when having such a full schedule. My coupe sits in the driveway now, but still runs like a top.

@GroverDill
Didn't get a chance to, it sold this last weekend.

I have a question regarding the flaming river manual rack. When I installed my steering column into the steering joint the bolt hole doesn't line up. I have to drill a new hole for the 18mm bolt (head size). Is this common because yours is a 93 and mine is a 88'?

I have my final list of things to get done on the car. I should be able to get most of it done over the next couple weeks. One of the first long drives to get the tune dialed in will be to your house @GroverDill ;) to make use of that lift you have and roll my fenders if the offer still stands. It will be in May some time.

I'm in the same situation. The problem I ran into is that I found out the hard way that I bought a knock-off k-member and it's giving me the blues.

@Project Swampfox

Got the coil bracket modified to mount on my driver side frame rail. I'll have to extend the coil wires several inches but that's OK with me.

I have two coil brackets so I placed them next to each other so you guys can see before/after. I used the factory screws to mount it.

Are you having problems with installing your engine or your a-arms not aligning in your wheel wells? Maybe I need to get an update on your thread.
The 1st problem was that the mount on the pass. side wouldn't fit into the openings because the little alignment nipple on the motor mount was too far apart from the threaded stud for both to fit into the slots on the k-member. Once I remedied problem #1 problem #2 was that the slot on the driver side was not long enough for there to be ANY movement of the motor because it wasn't level. So after fixing both of those problems by grinding on it to open the holes up as needed, I thought I was done fixing on this k-member. Oh how wrong I was....I think. Now my problem is that the transmission crossmember, that came with the installation kit that I purchased when I bought my TKO600 from American Powertrain, doesn't seem to fit.....OR the k-member has the motor too far forward. I'm waiting for my buddy to get the measurement of the distance from the back of his motor to the firewall on his car then I'll measure mine to see if there is a difference....which I'm willing to bet there will be.

I saw the place you mounted the ignition coil ...Just about the time you drive thru a deep water puddle, you will be in trouble. Water and high voltage electricity don't get along with each others... :(

I don't ever plan to drive this car on wet roads nor in wet conditions. I will be installing the factory splash guards on both sides that should offer some protection from road debris. Thanks for the insight, it's always appreciated.

What the hell makes people do stupid chit to Mustangs? WTF?!

Why the heck would you cut out reinforced section? Anyways, got all the holes and this missing section welded up and ready to install my new ACC carpet.

is that the "crossbar" for the front seat mounts? if so, that section can rip out with enough force to the seat, may be someone before you broke, went to fix it, then said eff it and sold it.

I don't have a clue as to what the heck could have made somebody think to cut that section out. Yes that's the part where the front of the seat bolts to the floor. You can see that one of the bolts for the seat was cut off. I'm having to cut it out and weld in new metal on both locations on both sides.
:tard:

What is it about 5.0's that attracts this breed of retard?
