Yellow Or Green Does It Realy Matter

as long as it is ethylene glycol, then the color does not matter.
That's right.

The one thing we all have to remember is that ethylene glycol is poisonous. It has a sweet taste which makes it attractive to all sorts of creatures. Keep your children, pets and wildlife away from leaks, spills, puddles and open containers. I lost a favorite cat due to ethylene glycol poisoning from a spill in the garage that I failed to clean up.

I looked at a bottle of Prestone and a bottle of Napa name brand 50/50 and both say EG.

Read the back of the bottle under the precautions or poison information. They usually list whats in it in-case some one drinks it and the hospital needs to know what has been ingested. It should have the chemicals and a CAS #.

Yellow or green makes a huge difference if you are talking about some other fluids! :-0

Seriously, do not fall for the emails and FB junk postings that Propylene Glycol is poisonous like Ethelyne Glycol.

Propylene glycol can be used as an antifreeze and deicer in a low toxicity environment. Bit you will also find it in livestock feed, medicines, tobacco plenty of human foods, and non edible products. PG will not kill your dog if it locks up after the Swiffer.

As far as Dex Cool, it is EG with incompatible additives. There have been lawsuits from people with problems with far fewer than 150k miles. I would perform a system flush and use regular Prestone ASAP if I had a car with it again.
