Here's my BB restrictor (left) sitting next to a 0.41" journal bearing restrictor. As far as I know, journal bearings always use restrictors, at least on street cars.

Interesting. It must be turbo specific then. My restrictor came straight from Comp. For what it's worth, Comp said their BB turbos need nearly no oil, so maybe that's why my restrictor is super tiny.
I'm gonna use one. Looking at Chinee pieces on Amazon/Ebay.@madmike1157
That looks bad ass
Also, you may have mentioned it already.. 100 times... but from my experience i really think you are going to want a turbo blanket.
fwiw..
ps- Sorry to hear about the knees. I got a cortisone shot in my foot last year. NOT fun.

Any advice?
I'm only sorry about having to get the shots before they freeze, then stick me.@madmike1157

Not according to my Dr. He said that in my physical condition I'd be a real quick recovery, but frowned on me ever crawling around, "taking a knee", or doing anything overly physical (i.e. jumping out of a plane) again.@madmike1157
I know a guy that had his replaced, he was out and about 2 weeks later. 70 years old. I don't think it's as bad as it sounds..

That honestly reminds me of what I see when I open the engine cowlings on the aircraft I work on. Purpose-built, quality craftsmanship, shiny and pretty and looks expensive as hell.
That is interesting. . Lol! I looked at garrett, precision, turbonetics, and on3 and they all are the same spec as far as I recollect. . However I believe the latter three are copies of garrett, so go figure. Comp is made in Brazil I believe?... and have their own design if I'm not mistaken.... fwiw.
That brings back memories... 12 years as an aircraft mechanic, 9 of the 12 years as an FAA licensed Airframe & Powerplant mechanic. It definitely does change the way mechanical things get done. That honestly reminds me of what I see when I open the engine cowlings on the aircraft I work on. Yeah, I'm not gonna put the inners, or that insulation divider between the hinge and wheel well opening back on.Will you have access to the Service Ports once the fender is on?
