Keep It Stock Or Mod Tastefully

It's already a little "molested" but I say mod it the way you like it. We own these cars to enjoy them, not to be concerned with their future value (which I don't think you'll negatively affect)
Just my opinion :) Everyone is entitled to them :) I hope at the end of the day, he does whatever makes him happy :)

Ok.

1. Verts are not girl cars.

2. Thanks everyone , I can now comfortibly mod my car. Hmmm.... Where to start

I always start my build with sensible suspension mods and basic high $/hp bolt ons, especially if money is tight (having 3 projects at any given time is the norm for me.)

On a Fox, I think those would be springs, subframe connectors, upgraded OEM brakes with stainless steel lines for the suspension, followed by headers, catback, intake, and a sensible cam on the motor side. That way, you end up with a car that goes noticeably faster than stock, handles nicer, and stops better than a stock Fox has any right to.

Best part of it is you're only a couple of grand invested in it, parts wise, at that point.

Anything after those, in my opinion, is where you start to see diminishing returns. The only exception being a 5.0 Explorer swap, motor wise. A few hundred dollars for a ~50hp gain is always a beautiful thing.

Ignore the vert haters, they can only last about 11 seconds and only go in a straight line,

My vert, swapped top for 93 frame, 5 lug conversion, Cobra big brakes, removed the luggage rack, painted the whole body same color to eliminate the black band around it... rest "looks" stock....

Your picture shows a nice car so just keep the mods nice like has already been done
