hey everyone new here still trying to figure out where to post but anyway.....ive been searching for a few weeks now on how to put a 2000 f150 motor in a 00 stang the mustang is a 3,8 5 speed but im looking for a project so i want to swap out the 3.8 for a 4.6 i can get an f150 motor at a good price im not a complete noob to swaps just wiring so my questions are....
1- what transmission would be the best bang for my buck?
2- what engine harness will i need and will it connect to the harness inside the car for the cluster?
3- will the f150 intake manifold work or will i need to swap it out for a gt one?
4- what engine mounts will i need to put the f150 4.6 in the stang?
From what i have gathered for parts to work as follows
-stock rear end GT prefered but stock will work
-upgraded suspension to handle the v8(v8 will cause to sag a little)
-need new exhaust( i want to use bbk shorty headers and a full custom 2.5 exhaust
-Brake booster?
-what radiator would work
if i missed anything feel free tell me

I have access to an f150 motor ones a 4.6 and the other is a 5.4 I just thought the 4.6 would be easier I know its going to be a pain I dont care its a project wont be driven for a year so my question again is what would I need to swap the 4.6 motor into it

Damn the only thing im not great at is splicing harnesses together I could it would just be a slow process would a 5.4 out of a 2000 styler f150 be worth the swap or just stick to the 4.6? I want to keep the car 5 speed.
If im swapping the whole 4.6 motor from an f150 why would I need to swap the cams? I know their the same as the gts and why the tuner? Flstang65 please specify
