Engine Won't Run Right Since I Tried Maf

now i have blue smoke on start-up and acceleration. parking the mustang and building another engine. kinda feeling like i got F*cked when i bought this car.

Interesting take on the situation you have there.
Sounds to me more like you and your friend F'ed it up.
As you said, it ran fine before you messed with it.

You swapped out the wrong parts (knowingly) that help control the fuel mixture. How exactly is that the previous owners fault?

A couple things, g40 iron heads with run fine with 19's and a stock meter.
You probably didn't spin the engine to 7000rpm with an e cam, that cam is only good to about 5500rpm, your springs would never take it and the limiter is 6250.

Go back to the basics, start with 19's and the stock meter. If you don't have them, borrow or buy them, neither have any real value so someone may just give them to you.

The carb idea has it's own set of headaches and when those get to you and you try and sell the car, you will damn near have to give it away.

now lets start with your list. first off....when the car broke loose, it was coming down on the stock tach just under 7k rpms. if the stock tach is knowingly wrong,please...feel free to tell me. those parts that your said i knew were wrong, I didnt know they were wrong. cant believe everything i read. plus, A friend of mine that has his own mustang told me it would work fine. he's been messing with them for years. figured i could trust him. but, it wsnt till after i looked up the sensor in the books, that i found out it was off a thunder bird. so sue me. im sure you have been lied to when you bought parts from them. every body makes mistake and trusts the wrong people from time to time. please, dont act like you havent. save your smart-ass tone for someone else.

The stock tach will likely be 500-1000 RPM high once you get above 4500 RPM. It is most accurate in mid range. It can be recalibrated to be more accurate at high RPM, but will be inaccurate at lower RPM.
