Hi, everyone i am new to the forum and have seen alot of good info on here so i decided to join and see if anyone could shed some light on my problem. I have a 1991 mustang LX orginially a 4 banger all parts have been swapped from a donor 1987 GT or were purchased new, mostly new. My issue is fitting my 351w stroked 427 dart block into the k member of my 1991. all swap parts were used and the motor was built specifically for this application by myself. My issue is my oil pan which is a moroso 20529 seems to be sitting on not the k-member but rather the powersteering rack before my mounts (which are energy suspension 4-1124G) are fully seated onto the k member. Seems the engine would need to come down about another 1/4 of an inch to be in, so i figure im off by about 3/4 - 1 inch in spacing from rack to oil pan. The pan is made for this swap and i was told when contacting moroso that the pan it should fit no problem, i have measured the pan and it is the correct dimensions. Running a big cowl hood so no clearance issues up top but cant say the same for the bottom. Any help is appricated, Thanks for reading and i can supply any info to anyone who needs it.

FWIW, my 351w dart based combo uses the same oil pan in question and a flaming river manual rack. What rack are you using? With 3/4" drop mounts the oil pan has about .100" to the top of the steering rack and has been that way even now that I have a motor plate. There has been zero issues over the last 3 years that it has been this way.

@TOOLOW91 what kind of clearance do you have? I know it's 8.2 deck but curious

Im using the factory power rack and as far as clearance goes im about flush to the rack holding the motor up by the pan about an 1/8 inch figure i need another 1/8 for room so id say im about negative 1/4 to 3/8 on clearance

Not even remotely an issue up front with me I have the canton t sump pan - I'm using the 50 resto stock height poly mounts . Stock power rack . The t sump is close to stock k member but that's about it .
