Hey guys, I'm looking to build my stang. I am wondering if anybody knows of a good crate engine/turn key that is fuel injected. Something along the lines of a stage 1 or maybe 2. Also something not crazy in price haha. Any tips or help??

Goal is to get around 250-350ish hp.
I have a 92 mustang gt with the stock 5.0.
I would like the budget to stay under $3800.
I would think the engines in that kind if spec I just mentioned would be like a 306 probably?
And I would be running the stock t5 trans.

Big difference between 250 and 350 hp. Your stock motor makes 225.

You will be hard pressed to find any quality turn key motor- FI to oil pan- for $3800, unless you look at blueprint, ATK, or some other mass produced engine.

If there is nothing wrong with your present motor, you can put a new top end kit from TFS, AFR on it for about $3000 that will get you to 350 crank hp.

Late model resto used to sell a reman shortblock for right at a thousand bucks.. If the bottom end is bad. There are a lot more involed options but just throwing that out there..

Hell for about $300 he can get a used exploder motor., swap out the cam, valve springs and use his exhaust, distributor, you know the drill For less than $1000 he can have 260 rwhp

Show me a turn key Ford Racing motor for $3800

lol, he said he wanted to know of a good crate motor . . i posted where he can find one.

he said he would "like" it to be 3800.00 but he did not specifically say it needed to be . . he can do what he wants with the info he posted . . he can also buy complete engines from jaspers for less than 3800.00
