Hello all,

I am trying to remove my factory computer and I cannot get the harness off the housing. I removed the bolt holding the white bracket and the 10mm from the wiring harness.... according to SCT it should basically fall right out. For the life of me I cannot unplug the harness and now I am at the point where I am tired of laying upside down and angry to the point I can no longer think properly.

Am I missing something totally obvious? The factory A9L was replaced back in 1996 by Ford because they thought it was bad if that matters. It is a 1993.... please any help is appreciated!

Once the bolt is loose enough that it will spin by hand, you have to wiggle and giggle the computer wiring connector socket. A little force between the computer wiring harness socket and the rim of the plug on the computer may help. Pry on one side a little and the pry on the other side. Done correctly it will help to start the harness wiring socket moving. Some WD40 will also help and it doesn't harm the wiring or contacts.
