Guys I have a 2015 GT and the window sticker says to use 91 Octane gasoline but the dealership suggested using 95 Octane.
I have been having a problem on startups where the ignition makes a long hauling noise before the car runs properly and I have read on many forums that this could be due to the type of fuel being used.
Any suggestions from someone who has experienced that.

I use 92 or 93, whichever the gas station has at the time. I'm not sure where you would even get 95 octane?? Honestly 91 is more than fine, for that matter the car will run on 87 just not make as much power. When I picked my car up from the dealer brand new they had topped it off with 87 (god forbid they spent the extra 3 dollars to put better gas in it) and the car performed just fine

I am currently living in Saudi Arabia for work purposes and all they have here is 91 and 95.The dealer is suggesting 95 while the window sticker says 91.
I usually use 95 on all my cars but the long hauling noise when I push the start button is making me worried and as I read it could be a problem from the fuel.

Well I sure didn't see that one coming...

Order a SCT tuner it comes with a stock setting for optimizing 91. Then get a custom tune file for the 95 octane.....

Does Saudi Arabia use the straight-on european RON rating? the US uses (RON+MON)/2 for the advertised octane ratings, so it shows as a digit or two lower than the European ratings. This is why you'll see higher standard rating numbers in Europe. So in Europe, a 91 RON will be equivalent to an 87 Octane here in the US.
