4.6 Swap Underway. Need Ideas To Solve Rear Axle Problem.

4.6 is in. not sure if/why I have to swap to the fox control arms. need to do more research on that. still plenty of crap to do. had to grind on the rear tab of the kframe, but otherwise went right in. hood even closes without modification.

yeah, the fox donated all the harnesses and much of the interior/steering column to a 4 cylinder, so I have little choice. from my research its going to be about 8 hrs of test fitting and trimming. The upside is that there will be no splicing/wiring diagram head scratching to do.

I would check the offset/backspace first, as the Fox, SN95 and S197 are all different from one and other. If you've got a buddy with an S197, I'd ask him to test fit before you plop down the cash for a set.

You need a 40mm offset wheel... That rear is about as wide as the IRS that I have in my car. The 05 and up bullets will work without sticking too far out in the rear... I ran the factory 225/45r17. The front rims were different

Thanks, I like the way that looks. heres what the SN95 rims look like on new edge width rear and new edge width control arms. Dont hate it, but dont love it either. I Can see how it would look goofy with fox length front control arms. 5L5, I didnt have to use a sleeve when throwing the new edge rear in, I went with the new edge upper and lower control arms, and everything bolted right in.

Does anyone know what would happen if I threw the 4cyl springs back in? would it lower the car a bit? would the ride/handling suffer? Im not a track guy, just like driving around on the street/highway.
