My car has been having problems lately... i thought it was the fuel pump. I replaced it and it ran great for a week then i thought it was tfi, fpr or ig coil. ...What im getting at is i know what the problem is now but i dont know what is causing it. Its hitting a fuel cut above 3000 rpm or under full throttle. Even without load my pressure will drop to 5 psi or less. At idle im at 35 and with the vacuum line unplugged its at 40 which is right. Is there some sensor on the car that would cut fuel if it went out? There are only 2 codes egr no flow and a code for rich. Makes me think o2 sensors im not sure though. Thanks

It could be the engine coolant temp sensor if the problem happens when the engine is at normal temp. I just replaced mine today because my car started stalling when the temp got up to about 190 degrees.

It always happens no matter what. I already replaced the temp sensor for the ecu. I had a similar problem with my escort and that fixed it. I wasnt soo lucky this time

The only thing i can think of is the pip sensor/distributor that would cause the problem because it has to with the spark and fuel pump operation.
