I have the stock 19" Pirelli Niro Piro all season. They were ok in the winter, and I'm getting used to them now. Once hot and sticky they are pretty good. But I still don't have the confidence of my Summer Bridgestone Potenza S that I had on my last car.

Who has changed their tires and what have you put on? Then what's your onion.

Thanks
Bob

Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I am very happy with them. They are on an 08' Bullitt, so not the same platform, but they totally transformed the car. I run a 275/40/18 rear and a 225/50/18 front.

Like the above user, I'm a huge fan of the Pilot Sports (I've had the 2s and 3s). I'm on my third set in as many cars now and absolutely love them. I've had a ton of performance tires over the years and none of them have impressed like these have. I got 50k out of the rear tires on my GTO and while I didnt necessarily abuse them, I certainly wasnt easy on them. I was so happy with them I put them on the '12 Mustang after my wife ran over something and killed one of the stock Pirellis. They will be on the '15 before long.

Yeah, not a fan of the stock pirellis. 235 18s on my 2015 just ain't cutting it on launches.

I had 235 17 pirellis on my 05 v6, and bought some Cooper zeons of the same size to replace, and they seemed considerably better, much to my surprise.

I have no comment on the stock Pirelli tires as they were removed with only 65 miles on the car. I currently have 275/35/20 Mickey Thompson Super Sport tires on the car and love them.. They were good in the snow/ice and were impressive out on the road course (even in 34* temps). They are reasonably priced and are holding up nicely to the abuse I have put them through.

If it means anything to ya, the Michelin Pilot Super Sports are being used on the new super snake and the Ford Focus RS from factory! They seem to be pretty awesome tires from what I've read, when I am due for an upgrade I'm going to get a set.

I had never paid any attention to Michelin and honestly cant even remember why I put them on the GTO but they stuck like glue and the tread wear was fantastic. They didnt tread line a bit either. Made a believer out of me! I have no experience outside of the Pilot Sport line (2s and 3s) though.
