Checked voltage and I'm only getting .13 volts to both bulbs. They worked the other day, and of course went out a week before inspection. Fuses are good, and new bulbs. Help?

Check the backup switch . Is your car 5 speed or auto?
The 5 speed backup switch is shown below

T5 external parts 85%.GIF

A voltmeter or test light is needed to do the testing. You will have to pierce the insulation on the rubber cap that holds the switch wiring connector pins. A couple of safety pins may be useful for this purpose.

With the car in reverse, ignition on, engine not running, look for 12 volts on both of the wires coming off the switch. No12 volts on both wires, the harness has some bad connections. or broken wires Good 12 volts on one wire, but not the other, the switch is bad. AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts will have the switch cost is-$18-$25.

What I posted is for a T5 5 speed manual transmission.

The Auto trans puts the backup switch on the floor mounted shifter. It is a completely different design.
