So I doubt this thing will be up and running before Jan 1. Been a busy year and hot summer. While the progress has slowed the stock piling of parts hasn't. I looked at the thread with
@95BlueStallion @madmike1157 about the trans i got and didn't the additional price tag of $700 for the control tag so I switched gears to a aod from an 88 Ford. Picked it up fairly decent price and going to rebuild it myself.
I decided to just rebuild the motor instead of a rering. I have no idea what life it has had and why it was pulled (aside from what PO said). Also, when it is up and running i want to be able to get in and drive without having to worry about motor sealing properly. Going to do a simple rebuild on it with E7 heads that are coming off my notchback. Slight porting on heads The gt40s will go into the fox. Should be plenty of power for a little cruiser truck.
I got my tilt steering column with drop bracket or the summer. Bench seat out of a Chevy truck. A little wide but I will narrow the bracket a little and modify the upholstery.
Still love the project just busy with house work. The 65 mustang is in the garage debating if it will get the 289 or the 302 from the fox eventually
