ok want some input!! i hit a piece of wood in the road and it bent my hpipe and cracked two tubes on my mac headers!!! the ques is im been looking at the pypes shorty header and bbk shorty header which one do yall think is better or opposition?

i have mac header on my 94 cobra like them, but their cracked now

i have had the bbk shorty header on my 95gts and i like them to, but could never get the egr pipe right so end up capping off the egr.

as far for the hpipe being bent im changing that to a bassani xpipe!!

I have the BBK unequal shorties on my Cobra and I'm pretty happy with them. I've never had any problems with them since I capped the EGR off. It sounds pretty mean with their O/R H-pipe and stock cat-back. I was surprised how loud the stock mufflers could be! The only down-side is the exhaust smell without cats.

Be careful mixing and matching exhaust components between brands. They don't always work well together and it can get expensive to find this out in the middle of an install. I tried to mate up a Magnaflow catted H-pipe several years ago, but I couldn't do it without significant leaks. I laid the Magnaflow H pipe over the stock H-pipe and it was dead-on to the factory locations. The BBK H-pipe over the stock H had different angles at the header flanges. I'm pretty sure that the BBK header flanges aren't in the stock location. The Magnaflow H pipe was setup for the stock headers or aftermarket headers that dump in the factory location.

If you really want the Bassani x-pipe, go with Bassani headers (if they still make them for our vintage). If they don't make their own headers for our cars, by all means call them to find out what shorties they're compatible with.

I think Ford racing headers for SN95 5.0s probably used the factory flange location, but they might also be out of production.

I've used Pypes long tubes on a mod motor car and havd to say their quality is/was (5 years ago) a bit better than BBK imho. That being said neither are complete junk and I've used BBK long tubes in a mod as well. (Only bbk issues I've had were their 351 swap shorties were junk, but that was 8 years ago).

What do yall think dumped or tall pipe? And what sized tips? All of my mustang have been dumped but it get hard to find ppl or get the hook up on tags these days!
The only cars I would run dumps on are the 87-93 gt's. I like the aesthetics of tailpipes and also want the fumes and "exhaust note" out the back of the car.

I had dumps on my car for 10 years. I also got too old for that crap. It smelled like fuel in the car all the time. Dumps also heat up your axle if that makes any difference to you. It's all a matter of preference. I will say this though, I bet if you dynoed the car with dumps, and then put tail pipes on it and dynoed again, there would be a 0 HP difference.
