I'm replacing used 3.27 gears with new 3.55 gears from Ford racing. All bearings, seals, clutch pack, and ring gear bolts have been changed. Both old and new pinion gear head were the same depth down to 0.0001 of inch so I used the old pinion shim and replaced on the new gear. Backlash was too much (.017") so I decreased it to .011" since its my first gear swap I would like a second opinion on the wear pattern, Thanks

Both my pictures show gear marking compound and a wear pattern that is clearly visible...
I've determined the wear pattern is too close to the face of the ring gear teeth. Pinion needs to be re-adjusted.
I've seen that video and have found many problems with it. LMR doesnt do certain things that Ford reccomends and do other things that Ford says not to do. I would steer clear of that video
