So Excited, I'm Welcoming a New Family Membery. She's red

Paid 10.5k I personally think it's a steal no matter what stupid KBB says.....lol My parents in Chicago picked up the car today from the woman in Ohio and drove it back to chicago. She had all books, keys, remotes, original window sticker, and even the toneau cover which she said was not put on the car a single time. I'm very excited to get this car out to CA in the next few weeks.
Actually I thought you paid too much too, but KBB does show that price is spot on. Good buy - and there is nothing like picking up a virgin Mustang like this in such great shape.

Meh, price is all relative. I love the SN-95 aero body style and 10.5K doesn't seem like too much considering it is a GT with the upgraded aluminum wheels and a convertible. 11,000 miles means it was driven just enough to keep the fluids moving, yet likely wasn't driven in the rain. I'm sure none of the bolts on the suspension are rusted. Try finding a car with under 11,000 miles for 10K that isn't an econobox, and I doubt you'll have much luck.

OP, I'd get 1.25" spacers because 1.5" may be too much. Those pics I posted of my black '98 had either 1.25" spacers or 30 MM spacers (don't remember) and IMO they were perfect. I bought them from Stang Suspension and IIRC it was around $150 for the pair.

1.25 it is then........ thank you

And about the price. I'm in CA and didn't care where I had to get the car from, I just wanted the right car. So I literally searched the whole country. I think you ca throw blue book out the window on a car like this. I found several others scattered around with low miles. None this low, but maybe a round 20-30k. I would say they ranged in price from people asking 10k-15k. And I'm talking in comparable shape. A needs nothing literally flawless, no rust, no ding, no scratch, no tear car. Add to that this car is 1 owner, and owned by a senior citizen woman.....doesn't get any better than that. And, the little old lady could drive, there's no curb rash and the bumpers have not a single mark :) Reminds me of a beach boys song thinking of that grandma behind the wheel of this car.

On a side note I couldn't believe it. Just yesterday I saw one of my favorite stangs. I knew what it was as it coming at me from far away. It was a 1992 anniversary lx 5.0 vert. The red one, with white wheels, white top, and white interior. To my astonishment the car was showroom with a woman that had to be in her 70's behind the wheel. I gave her a huge thumbs up when she stopped at the light I was standing at. Go granny go !!

Post up some pics when you get them installed :nice: ... Oh and again, I recommend getting the Eibach pro-kit with new isolators. It will lower it just enough to make it look perfect, yet won't cause her troubles when going over speed bumps or make the ride too harsh.

Is this in the Bahia Resort parking lot at Mission beach/bay? LOL

I was just asking cause I stayed there for Spring Break this year and thought...damn, does that place look familiar.:rlaugh:

That is the bahai resort parking lot. I live in Mission Beach on the bay, right off of santa clara if you're familair with the area.

And what up winters. I've been following a bunch of your vids. haven't seen you around in a some time either. I haven't been doing too much modding or anything lately. Everything is pretty much running well right now and I'm content to just enjoy for the time being. What's your latest with the vette?

Hey bud! Haven't chatted with you in a while! Car is running great. Got a sponsorship from Paxton, and have a new blower I'm going to try. Have nitrous on the car with the blower I have now and meth, but haven't done anything with it lately. Car runs slower on the nitrous tune than just the blower tune. Thinking about taking it off and Just running c16 and a lot of Timing when race time comes with the new blower

Still have that sick frc with the twelveteen hundred shot on it,lol? Car is beautiful. Shoot me a pm and we can chat. I'm out of town this weekend so I'll be on my phone or tablet, but would like to hear about your current rides and what is happening. I was actually in so cal twice in the last half year or so. Wish I would have contacted you to check out your rides

$10.5k was a STEAL for that car. Absolutely gorgeous, and lol at anyone who thinks they could/would:

A) find that car for less
B) sell that car for less if they owned it

That car is cherry, worth every penny and more.

Also, don't put spacers on the car. It'll look better from the side, but really stupid from the back. Yeah the wheel wells are wide and it becomes obvious when the car is lowered, but it still doesn't actually look that bad.

If anything I would try a .75" spacer, happy medium between bringing the wheels out a bit and not looking completely retarded from the back. No reason the wheels have to be flush to the max with the quarter panel. In reality, you could pick up a pair of refinished wheels (so as to keep the stockers pristine) and have them widened an inch or inch and a half...that would be perfect.

OR pick up youre fav 17/18x 10.5 tire/wheel combo and problem solved and will look 100x better.

Thanks for the nice words puma. I thought it was the deal of the century too. One of those rare finds you just couldn't duplicate very often. Mint car, good color combo, The right owner, and only a one owner ride............. Plus, I needed another car for my wife. Her car was totaled and the timing was perfect. I wasn't even looking specifically for a stang, I just wondered across this car on the autotrader

I just got her back to CA. I did get spacers. 1.25in spacers. However, I'm going a different approach with this car than any other car I've owned. I am going to try my best to keep it st0ck. That means wheels too. Plus I like the look of the stock wheels. Sometime in the next year I'm going to take off the stockers and have them widened two inches. I did a little measuring and I think that 1.25 spacer is the right size for me to get those in there. Plus for me personally I think they do look better 1.25 out right now, both from behind and the side.

I will be buffing up the car in the next few days and will take some pics to put up here :)
