Help..taillights And Cobra Intake Questions.

I have done a search about taillights but most threads are opinion based and nothing technical..I brought my 95 vert from a previous owner who converted to the 4.6 style tails..I want to stay loyal to the year of car I got, so I scored some horizontals off E-bay and spent a tedious afternoon sanding, masking and painting them black..but when I went out to change them the pigtail arrangement is different and no yards around here have them..Does anyone know what pigtails and bulbs I need to buy and splice?

I also scored a year specific Cobra intake, (and have an aftermarket BBK STB coming soon as well), but it didn't come with the hardware bolts, so was wondering if the bolts I take off from the stock intake will work, or will they be a little short? Here's some before and after pics of the tails and the soon to be installed intake..Any help is always appreciated...-JC

Not sure on the tail lights. The lower intake bolts are the same. The bolts that run from the upper to the lower will be different. You can get them at ACE hardware.

Just make sure the bolts are grade 5 anyway so they won't stretch and loosen up. Probably have three marks on the heads or a triangle. I may have an extra stock harness I could sell. If not there is always somebody parting out stangs on Corral classifieds.

Thanks guys, but I just went ahead and purchased 2 OE harnesses from an E-Bay store, and I put the tails on so I'm good with that, as for the intake apparently there are 2 bolts that are 6.85" long that are needed..I dug through years of old parts and bolt bins and found 3 of them..I slipped them through the upper plenum holes and they should work.. All I'm doing now is waiting for the big brown truck with my BBK STB today so hopefully I can giterdone tomorrow.

Thanks, just wanted to keep the 94-95 years correct as these cars are somewhat unique and are oddballs. The STB finally arrived, so I started the work on the intake yesterday afternoon and would have been finished but the previous owner left a broken EGR tube and 2 bolts on the lower intake that were too short and not even tight, that led to vacuum leaks, which is why it had issues surging and idling..Despite it still having the E-7 heads, I think the Cobra intake should work a little better with the mild Comp camshaft it has.

Cobra Intake manifold project is done. Also flushed the cooling system, changed the thermostat and battery terminals, fixed all the vacuum leaks, and had to fabricate an EGR delete plate, tossed on some wires and a cap I had saved, then set the idle and timing and re-set the computers KAM memory, and installed the strut tower brace. Tomorrow the headers that I got in a trade are going on.

The only bummer I had was with the BBK STB. It came in a box with nothing to protect the contents.
No styrofoam or even wadded up newspaper, and a quality control issue as I had to elongate one of the holes on the passenger side. Pretty disappointing from a company like BBK, but so it goes.
Before and after pics.

Thanks fellas. The car has really good pull and the intake works well with the cam the previous owner had installed. It's a smallish Comp. Cams stage 1 with .512 lift. Still wanting to do shorty headers, the coil springs this month. Rear gears and heads next season. Oh and the breather on the valve cover is blocked off, it's just for looks lol. Good eye tho .

Well, I keep finding add ons to install and found a Professional Products 70mm polished TB on the E-Bay. I used a $20 off discount code so I figured what the heck. I was surprised this being an SN-95 TB, it came with a built in and neat TPS adjuster. I've read on here and elsewhere that our cars don't really need to have the TPS adjusted, but I used a small allen head set it to .98 just the same.
