Oil Pressure Gauge Doesn't Work

Yes it's for the 93 foxbody but I just dropped in a 94 cobra motor. Took out the old sender and went and picked one up from O'Reillys and looks the same. How would I know if I'm getting a good connection? I think the part number is 2-8141

Just took off my valve cover on the driver side to see if I'm getting oil and its practically dry. So I turned it over let it run for a second and still no oil. So I think I have no oil pressure.

I understand. It's definitely got oil. The motor hasn't ran for a couple months. It's out of a 94 cobra and the motor was built by summit. I took out the distributor to prime the oil pump and that little key that goes to the center of the distributor is gone. Was there last night when I put the new distributor in.

So I gotta drop the oil pan and order the ARP driveshaft? Is it broke or did it just fall in there and I can just put it back without getting a new one. Or do u recommend I order the ARP?

Someone probably installed the shaft from the top. So when the distributor was removed, it came out of the pump and into the pan. The shaft is supposed to be installed from the bottom when the oil pump is put it. There is a retainer clip that keeps the shaft from being pulled out of the pump whenever the distributor is removed. ARP shaft is a nice investment.
