Drivetrain 3.73 Or 4.10 In Slightly Built '01 Gt?

I drive an '01 GT auto. Heads, cams, cai, intake/plenum, and nitrous. Currently have 3.73's, but I've been looking into getting 4.10's. I plan on going to the strip at some point, it'd be a fun time for my dad and I (I'm 16, we're both Mustang guys) and we'd settle our debate about our cars(he has an '86 GT). Would I benefit a lot from a 4.10 swap? Would the difference be noticeable? I won't be doing much if any highway driving, I know that can be a problem with rpms with 4.10s. Oh and yeah would anyone recommend Borla Ataks? I want the loudest possible exhaust (I'm an obnoxious teenager, deal with it). I currently just have straight pipes. Thanks for any replies.

unless you have slicks, i'd stay with 3.73's. I think the 4.10's would be too much for your street tire at WOT. 3.73's in an auto is more than enough. as far as mods and exhaust, Long tubes! and nothing beats custom work from a good exhaust shop, just be prepared to live with it for awhile

I would absolutely go with the 4.10s. Naturally aspirated, that's the only way to go on a 2v

4.10s are the way to go definately. Youll love the torquey feeling when city driving. But if you are looking for highest top speeds. Like if you plan on going faster than 140 then stick with what you got, 4:10s will lower top speed.

I kept stock gears in mine due to regular highway travel. I'm glad I did after adding my power adder for a street car. I have a flat torque curve from about 3700 all the way up to 6k. For me stock gears are perfect.

If you want to drag your car then getting the right gear for your torque curve can make a huge difference.

Stock auto should look like this: 1st - 2.84; 2nd - 1.55; 3rd - 1.00; 4th - 0.70;
Stock diff 3.27

If you have a Dyno of your car both N/A and on nitrous you can know more about what the sweet spot is for your car (or just google for someone with similar mods for an idea)

Don't know about those borlas but I love my stingers. Loud when I get on it.
