I apologize for any redundancy in this post. I have read a lot of posts but would like some fresh advice. I have a '99 GT with the following mods.

SR Performance TB/plenum
SR Performance underdrive pulleys
SR Performance CAI
Pypes off road h-pipe mated to stock manifold
Magnaflow XL mufflers
4.10 gears
Custom tune

My car has been dyno'd at 245hp/286tq. I was considering a S/C but just don't have the funds. So I would like to know what else I can do short of forced induction to get decent gains, perhaps get to 300hp at the wheels. So am I looking at headers, camshaft, other internals? I appreciate any and all suggestions.

With your current set up you are limited to shorty headers because of the full length h-pipe. Long tubes will definitely help but you will have to change to a matching shorty style mid-pipe.

As far as camshafts Comp Cams have some grinds that make decent power. Most of them need upgraded valve springs and will require a re-tune.

What gears do you have?

Nitrous is the cheapest way to get big gains.

I had full boltons and cams (hi tech stage ii) and made 290 at the wheels. All of that cost way more than a blower. If I were u I would save your money for the blower. Well worth it.

I bolted everything I could to my 04 GT. The cheapest route to 300 rwhp, its going to be nitrous. If you do longtubes and cams, you will need a tune and you probably will fall short of your goal. Its strange but you will spend a superchargers amount of money to make 300 rwhp the old fashioned way on these cars. Blower puts you between 350 rwhp to just over 400 safely on a stock engine for the same money.

I know I need to get a fuel pump and injectors but I have no idea what to get or where to get them. I have been told to get a 255lph pump and at least 39lb injectors. But there are different types for each so how can I be sure that I am getting the right parts?

You may need to know how much boost you plan to make on the engine before deciding pump and injector sizes. I ran a Steeda pump that was rated at around 300lph (if i remember correctly) and 39# injectors on my GT. That car was pushing about 12 psi of boost. I also had a JMS fuel pump booster hooked up just in case I was going to go out an flog the car for the day. I could crank the fuel pump voltage up for a little added peace of mind.

If you have to get injectors, I recommend getting 60#. That way you have room to grow. My 39# injectors were in their sweet spot of operation but anymore boost would have them running at their limit. Seems most tuners are pretty used to tuning in 60s too.

Make sure you have a good MAF with enough voltage range. My blower build began with 8psi of boost and the Lightning MAF in a blow thru configuration. I immediately pegged that MAF and had to install a MAFia voltage extender while it was on the dyno. Couple years later the MAFia burned out and I switched to a SCT BA5000 slot style meter in a VMP tuning housing. I can tell you that the SCT MAF worked a thousand times better than the Lightning meter and MAFia in the blow thru configuration.

This stuff is sold at almost every one of the Mustang parts websites. Americanmuscle.com, LMR.com, Lethalperformance, VMP, Summit, Steeda, etc. These vendors are more than willing to steer you in the right direction and are usually pretty knowledgeable. But know your boost / hp goals going in, keeping in mind the limits of the stock engine.

I appreciate all of this information. My concern is more about getting the correct "type" of fuel pump and injectors. For example, would these be correct? I am only going to be running 6-8 pounds of boost non-intercooled.

The fuel pump should work fine. That particular injector style will require an adapter to hook up the wiring harness. Once the adapter is installed (they just snap on between the injector and the harness) it will work just fine. Pending a tune to make bring it all together.

Can I get injectors that already have the adapter? What is the adapter called?

These adapters. That style injector is for 03 04 Cobra and then 05 and up Mustang. If you look at the fuel injectors that are currently on your vehicle, you will see the body and wire connection is a much different shape than the shape of the EV6 injectors. I used Cobra 39# fuel injectors for my build and had to use the adapters. Your stock wiring harness will not connect to those injectors.
