Did 5 Lug/4 Disc Swap, Brakes Are Weak

I trimmed my studs down a tad. Made slipping it in a bit easier (that's what she said)

Under the dash, extensions and universals did the trick

Just finished my Cobra booster install to compliment the 93 Cobra MC, 03-04 Cobra brakes f&r with ss lines and I lost a few fillings yesterday during testing. Man this thing stops on a dime then asks for change!!! I'm always driving my friends 04 Mineral grey Cobra and his brakes are spectacular in stock form so I knew how mine should perform. My car's braking was definitely sub par. It feels on point now and glad I made the change. Pic for tits!

Good to know, I'm excited to order mine now

Since I don't remember it that well., I'm guessing I just pushed it out of the way.

I took my upper intake off when I did my booster install. Made it pretty easy to wiggle it in. About all I modified really. Didn't even have to hammer the fender at all

I'd rank the MC more important than the booster. Some guys have big quad and can modulate the brakes well with the smaller boosters, but an MC bore reduction of 1/16" makes a huge difference in pedal feel.
Trust me no big quads here.
Honestly, I felt no change in feel going from stock brakes to cobra brakes all the way around with cobra mc only. Then still no real change going from cobra mc to a hydroboost.

The only time the brakes ever worried me was when I tried the Lincoln calipers up front with no changes to the system.

I'd be curious as to if people could run the hydroboost off the fox power steering pump. I would think the answer would be yes. My guess would be you would have to do some minor hose modding.

Lincoln 73MM front calipers, 1 1/16" 94 Mustang MC, stock booster and Turbo Coupe rear disks makes a great no fuss combination. The brakes are not overly sensitive and have good pedal feel and modulation. That's what I had on my previous 89 GT Mustang before it got totaled by a hit and run driver.

Boy were you guys right, swapped in the cobra booster and M/C earlier this week and just now finally got the wife to help me bleed the brakes. The car stops so hard it makes my head hurt, no joke lol. Thanks for all the help.

I'd try the cobra MC first. I did my booster last year and i'm not that young or limber. It was a major PITA laying upside down under the dash to get that damn upper left bolt and the rod off the pedal.

I thought this was going to be a pain but using a deep well 9/16" socket and a swivel, it wasn't too bad. I guess being 5'10" 155 lbs doesn't hurt either lol.

I thought since my car was a '93 with the different strut towers I could get away with not bashing them in. I was way wrong. Three things that I had to do to get the thing in there.

1. Bash the strut tower, just when you think it's enough, it's not lol.
2. Trim about 1/4" off the mounting studs
3. Clean up the firewall holes. I noticed the holes in the firewall and the holes for the pedal assembly weren't lined up perfectly. So I used a drift punch to tweak it and then used a 3/8" drill bit to clean it up a bit.

I also noticed my brake light was stuck on. Turns out I didn't line the switch up perfectly with the flat spot on the booster push rod.

Lol .. being a former bodybuilder my body is somewhat "stocky" and now thanks to some kid that rearended me , with a bad back I try not to have to lay under a dash if at all possible.
