I think better 4v motors can be built for less.^^^15k-at that point we could have a big inch dart. But that aluminator is badass
You missed NMRA this weekend! What am I missing? Late to the party over here...

Coming from the guy that built an "almost gangster" 438, The next race motor will likely be a coyote. I have some big plans for the new car and they revolve around the possibility of putting a 1,500+hp coyote in that sucker. I think dollar for dollar its cheaper to build the coyote. When you are using factory casting heads vs heads that cost in the range of 10k+ a pair it adds up quick. The next upgrade to my sbf involves atleast 10k in cylinder heads and that can get me more than half way to that coyote I'm thinking about putting together.Agreed.
For me..I absolutely love the coyote swaps...but if spending big money(15+k) I'd go with a dart 427/445 with high ports/solid roller/nitrous etc. I'd go coyote for a street/driver occasional track car.
Not sure why would, the Turbo Coyote class is going bottom 8s, heck I know a few of the cars have gone 7's. Coyote Modified is the same way, bottom 8s, now 7s. Needless to say, these 5.0 coyotes are holding their own. Justin Jordan won the Turbo Coyote class this weekend and drove his car to work this morning running 8.0s, the car has been 7s.Agreed.

I heard a rumor the 5.2 blocks will hold 1500hp, but I wouldn't want to take chance it. Did I derail this?? Sorry, I'm in my own world today.
Sleeves are the way to go apparently. I don't remember his overall power goals but he got into the 8s last year with the 4.6 and obviously you don't rebuild to go slower lol. These coyotes are really impressive, I'm curious what sleeves and head studs allow.
That's the only reason the LS guys can run around claiming 1,000hp 5.3s. good cylinder walls, clamp the head on tight as hell, and Throw boost at it til it dies.
Darton sleeved motor for sureNot sure why would, the Turbo Coyote class is going bottom 8s, heck I know a few of the cars have gone 7's. Coyote Modified is the same way, bottom 8s, now 7s.
