Build Thread As Requested: Project Horse Manure

Ok, so working on interior. Trying to get some seatbelts in and the quarter plastic fits over/around/between/through them... So they get to go in.

Took plastic down this morning, and when the boy got home from work, installed front lights.

They need adjusting and alignment, but they work!! Who'd a thunk it?!

I got home from work and he was at it already^^.

I pointed out that he should've painted the taillamp housing before attaching the lens, so now we are masking. I'm happy though, he's got his motivation back.

What is the plan for the interior? Going to paint it or try to find all matching pieces? Going with different exhaust tips?

Well, i have most of the pieces for a gray interior. The plan was to paint it, but the boy is itching to get it up and on the road.. So, we're going to assemble what we have and go. The exhaust tips are going to stay, but get cleaned up and polished. This car is for a high school student, and it'll remain stockish probably until he goes off to college and gets a dependable DD.

Did you smoke the tail lamps or just paint the reflectors?
The white portion is definitely smoked

Honestly? Neither. I just ordered lens replacements from lmr a year ago, and they finally are out of the box. Looks like they may have sent smoked lenses.

I was going to repaint the reflectors to make them brighter, but gung-ho had one put together already when i got home, so.... We didn't.

I think it looks good . I'm biased to smoked lights though

Installing door locks so we can get to door panels...

Which brings me to my dilemma for the morning. Not sure what to do with these old door panels. My son keeps sayng, "Screw it Dad, just put them in there!!" I'm having a hard time with that.

Dirty greasy blue.
They don't match the rest of the black/gray. Too funky to install for me as is. Give me your opinion, guys. Should I take vinyl paint and paint the whole panels, carpet, cloth and all( don't know if that'll even work), install them after scrubbing well.. Or other? I don't think my son is willing to go for full restoration on these and he doesn't have money for more right now. Thoughts?

Please, I need opinions!
