Build Thread My 1986 T-top Build - Lasting Memories

I dont even know where to chime in here, ya drunk b stards. Dave, I ran poly bushings in my adjustable uppers and fixed lowers on my SN95, and it was noisy. Any rear end noise your car makes gets transferred into the car. For that very reason, I kept my stock rubber bushing lower control arms on my S197, and have whiteline's elastomer (sp?) bushings in my adjustable upper. If I end up swapping lowers, it will be to their elastomer lowers as well. After installing the watts link with those same bushings, it make NO noise, and its great. Less noise than the Maximum Motorsports panhard bar transferred into the car. Its not even my daily, but like @Boosted92LX preaches, the noises just suck, especially when they can be avoided.

All that off two pumpkin ciders, think I'll give the rest to my manager.....

Soooo, today I will be worn out. We had hail poke through town a few weeks ago with those little tornadoes I mentioned at the time.

The hail jobs are finally in my area, one complete to paint and a front end and roof on the next. Plus all the other collision stuff. Wheeeeeee! Oh well, it's money and I need coilovers.

BTW, for something different, it's going to rain today.

So, how do you fix hail damage? Pdr or bondo?

Good grief I hope not. Haven't looked at the forecast.

Had to go to sleep early last night and come in to work at 3..
It has certainly been the strangest weather patterns for TX and the midwest I've seen in years. Ordinarily, I get what you had,...(kinda like the measles) as most storms make their way South west to east down here. But all we've had so far is absolute normalcy. MOF, it's been uber-normal. Nothing severe in a couple of years.

I keep thinking I'll finally get the Monster done,..and one day, what's left of my house with some non-descript mangled orange car will be poking out of the rubble on the national news.....

Got my hatch and front bumper today! The front bumper is in incredible condition, super duper great even!

The hatch has one small rot hole on the inside lip, easy fix.

So this weekend I'll strip down the hatch and take it to work Monday and do the initial etch primering and a primer/filler that I'll block down to see what mud it might need. It looks really good though.

BTW, this salvage yard is owned by a fella that parts out to people that happen to know him. No advertisement, no nothing. Super guy with 30 or 40 fox bodies sitting with the weeds. I started a post for an 1983 t-top that has me really hot and bothered. Go to it for pictures.

Hey Dave. I like the LX style spoiler you have, but if you prefer the later GT spoiler I have one you can have if you want it. You'd have to fill holes in your hatch though..
