I'm researching CAI's and it looks like AiRaid makes a solid one for our 2016 Mustang GT's
Have any up you installed one and if so do you have any before and after dyno numbers?
I'm trying to stay away from doing the SCT tuner for awhile to make sure the motor is good. Don't want to void the motor warranty just yet. From what I've read you can expect single digit hp increases.

Thanks for help, Dewman.

The good thing about the Airaid is that it doesn't require a tune. The Steeda doesn't need a tune either if you keep the insert in it. Both will make significant gains. On top of actual hp they both will greatly increase throttle response. Personally I am going with the JLT and SCT canned tune. Can't go wrong either way. And I think the gains would be more like 10-15.

Well, I went ahead and purchased an AiRaid CAI, and I'm very happy with the results.
Throttle response 100% better.
Horse power increase especially on the torque side. AiRaid has dyno results for 10-11 hp / torque and I would agree with that perhaps a little more.
Exhaust note is much deeper, and you can tell the motor breathes much better. Mileage - can't say haven't kept my foot off the go fast pedal. I especially like the enclosed air box because the heat extractor opening is right over where your regular air filter is and some folks have gotten the filter soaked. The install took right at an hour. Only issue was getting the couplers on to the tube. Lastly they left off the hose clamp for holding the air filter on. Picked up one from Ace hardware for 1.79.
Thinking about painting the chrome air box cover to match my DIB.

Good choice!! I went with one as well. Got mine this past Wednesday. Install took about an hour since I had people stopping me to talk and what not. AFter the initial drive it felt more responsive and acceleration was a bit better at around 2500 RPMs. Over the next two days it opened up even more. You can't go wrong with an intake on these cars. Every little bit helps a LOT!!

I'm amazed on how much a difference the AiRaid makes. It pulling stronger even with the afternoon temps in the low 90's here in central Fla.
I forgot it takes a few miles for the pcm to re-learn the new setup. I know a lot of folks say only 3-5 hp increase and you would never even feel that. However, I think the increase is spot on with what I saw on one of the AiRaid sites of 15 hp / torque increase. Did you have any missing hose clamps in your order?
Thanks, Dewman

No missing clamps with mine. It has the one hose that uses those weird looking clamps so maybe thats what you're looking for...??

Anyway, yea I feel that for those of use who pay attention to our cars and DD them, you can def feel even the slightest change. Plus what people also don't realize is that a CAI will not only increase hp and tq but also throttle response. TR won't show up on a dyno. But it will drastically change the feel and how a car accelerates. Other things to consider is that dynos operate by taking measurements at WOT. Who's to say that even if there wasn't a difference at WOT you wouldn't have a drastic improvement at partial throttle. At WOT, you're not likely to notice a 10 hp difference. But at partial throttle, you would. Which is what gets me about these so-called self-titled experts. That they can think beyond a set way of thinking to figure out that some differences cannot be measured. Anyway, that is my spiel. I get into arguments with people all the time because of my outlook. But I'd rather be open minded then closed and locked into a certain thought process with no capacity to critical think or figure out things that aren't measured. Anyway, next for me is a canned tune and catback...then a supercharger!!
