How Hard Is It To Redo Torque Boxes

My 2001 just failed due to rust issues. I have looked up torque box reinforcement kits. They can be put in with or without welding. I don't want to junk this car over rust issues, unfortunately, it has spent it's whole life here in Maine. I at least wanted it to live much longer than this?
Anyone done torque boxes?
Thanks,
Doc

Hello, I hope this will help answer your question..
About torque boxes.. they mostly are weld-ins.. That means that it adds in durability and strength, as oppose to drilling out a hole and creating a weak point in the spot that needs reinforcement. welds are stronger than bolts. ;-)

The reinforcements are to stop the stock spot welds from tearing and ripping the box out . If you have rust issues you need to look into something like a wild rides s box kit to replace the whole box. This should be done by someone who does chassis work to ensure its squared in the car .
