Short Hub & Quick Release

That is correct. They say it doesn't work simply because it doesn't slide down the shaft far enough out of the box. I bored it out with a dremel and used a nut to space the distance for the bolt that tightens the hub down. The horn would work if i spliced the wires but I haven't done so because of the quick release (which obviously isn't necessary), so I left the wires tucked in the hub cavity.

Thanks, I may give it a try.
Sounds fairly simple, especially since I have a buddy with a machine shop that could easily open up the bore.
The horn was my main concern and I've seen reproduction Ford Buttons for the horn.

I just glued an acrylic sheet to the front of the cover, then trimmed it from there.

Obviously it's a bit time consuming to do all the trimming and filing but it's worth it. Glue it on the inside like in the picture, and the outside as well, then you can file and sand it all down to look like it came that way from the factory.

Look at his picture again, you can see his hub looks to be sitting against that plate. I'd venture a guess that you need to remove that connector. Other people are having to purchase a universal horn kit in order to get their horn working again on airbag cars.
