Headlights Come On When Ebrake Comes Off

i have a 06 V6 with a manual transmission. A few months ago the headlights started coming on when I take the emergency brake off. Just the headlights not the taillight or sidelights. This is when the key is on. Put the ebrake on the lights go out. Any ideas? Thanks for your help

Sounds like you have daytime running lights on your car. Mine is a GT and it uses the fog lights for DRLs.

Thanks for responding. Why would it start now, It never use to do that. It just started a few months ago. Before I would be able to run the car with all the lights off or just the running lights.
