Opinions vary but I could not stand the smell on the last car I went cat-less on. Some say they never notice the smell but I'm VERY sensitive to it.

If your state does physical inspections, they may see the cats are missing and fail you. If you live in NJ or CA I wouldn't even put LT's on. You will fail unless you know someone. In PA they don't seem to care if your car is cat-less. I even had a GM dealer pass a GM car that had no cats and LT's. As long as it is not throwing a code, it will pass emissions. It's the physical inspection you need to worry about.

My state does no inspections at all and I'm doing catless headers instead just waiting for my mid pipe adapters to arrive and I'll try to post a video up for you guys after I install them

I went with MBRP Race in 409 stainless steel because it was priced very well (less than $500 after rebates). And it was one of only two catbacks that fit the convertible...MBRP and Solo are the only companies that make one that fit. The convertibles have a thicker rear subframe brace and the standard 3" catbacks won't clear it. Solo was a little more than I wanted to pay. So I got the MBRP and the interior noise is very loud. And it has a lot of drone. At certain speeds it makes a really loud humming noise that is deafening. Remember, the convertibles have much less interior sound deadening so do not think I'm exaggerating, lol!! It is loud. But I like it. If I had a gf I would probably have to change it out because it is that loud. LOL!!

I originally went with the Gibson Performance cat-back, but swapped it out after two weeks. The Gibson sounds great, but drones like crazy. I ended up putting the Borla S-Type cat-back on, and it cured the drone. In my opinion, Borla's fit and finish is outstnding, and it's amazing how refined it is. It's quieter on cold startup, and cruising on the freeway, but it's a lot louder than the Gibson under full throttle. It's a bit Raspy to me, but the that is mostly only on the high end. In the lower to mid RPM range, the Borla sounds great.

I went with MRT exhaust and had them put on quad tips. I had to modify the valence, but it turned out really nice. I've received tons of compliments on how it sounds - very low and throaty. Slight drone at about 1500 RPMs (roughly 50-55 in 6th gear), but I stay away from that speed. I'm very pleased with MRT's work and would recommend their products.
