What Do You Do (or Supposed To Be Doing)

The bottle opener I liked. I modeled this one, although I haven't gotten around to finding the bronze paint for inside the mason jar

Damn you. Now I HAVE to make that.

Except mine will be mounted in my kitchen, and then another in the living room, and maybe a third down in my man cave. And dont worry about the paint. If you actually use it, the bottle caps will just scratch it off anyway. Think practically, and save yourself some work. ;)

28 year old design engineer (aerodynamics) for an aircraft engine company

With 2 kids, I'm holding off on big projects for the fox until they are out of daycare...maybe...

I don't take offense to the engineer comments. My only input is to recognize that not all engineers are like that.

Oh, believe me, I know. But it doesn't take long to spot them, lol. There are about six of them out there when I walk up to them in the field they say, "Oh, thank God! Allen, come here! I have questions!" Lol. I'll get them trained eventually.. Haha.

AKA: Website where wives go to find things to say, "You should make this," or "Should I try this look," or "I found this website with unlimited ways to make your existence more difficult."

Yeah, I know what it is... Try to avoid that chit like the plague. I have to much stuff around the house to do already, ha.

Wait til your wife finds out, she can make you make stuff on Pinterest then sell it on Etsy....:bs:

I find it odd that so many engineers, mechanics, and painters pick a fox....seems if we were actually smart we would of picked a better platform from "society standards" .....nah

Honestly, I lay no claim to smart, nor would society attribute or expect it of body shop techs. I may be more intelligent than some in my business, but it's like being the prettiest clod of dirt on a hill of mud.

That's ok though, low standards are sooo much easier to attain to and I enjoy what I do.

So, truthfully, fox bodies are meant for me!:nice: Now, the rest of you guys.........

:rlaugh:That's funny, Dave. Really.

You know it's funny you mentioned you started that degree. I looked into it myself and when I saw all of the the math courses required I went pfffft, nope. What's funny is I have an above average IQ, but loathe most math. I accel in geometry being a machinist, and some occasional trig, but the rest of that crap, ick. So, like @Noobz347 stated, hats off to engineers for that.

Edit: mechanical engineering, not electrical.

Regardless of what it is you do, hopefully, you're doing what you want to do.

Despite the goofy name, being in the position I'm in is as about "written for me" as it comes.
(A job where the people I interact with are excited, happy, and eager to receive the service I provide)

How much better can it get? Me,....a know it all that get's paid for being one.:banana::banana:

I'm AF retired. I'm finishing off my third degree in school (full-time, probably one more after this...the last one). I recently started working for a company that builds flight simulators used to train pilots.

Oh... and I occasionally fix stuff around here and sometimes make people disappear. :hide:
