I miss my car.

I've had an avalanche of sh*t happen lately preventing me from even entering the garage. The two biggest issues have been unforseen financial burdens and almost cutting off my right thumb, and not necessarily in that order.

The car isn't going anywhere, I just am on an indefinite hiatus until:

1) I have a useful digit on my dominant hand again (next week-ish)
2) I can hack down the unforseen financial burdens to a manageable status (next month-ish)

I made several hundred dollars in side cash that I have since donated to the cause, but my wife agreed that when the ship is righted again, I can use them as credits to finish the car.

Once the car is finished, we start on the truck.... *rubs hands together devilishly*

Hah, funny enough it was nothing auto related, hence the problem. I was trying to cut a shape out of a 2x4 but the blade was for metal. I was pushing the wood and it hit a soft spot, ran through the wood, and into my finger.

*edit - I had built a stand for the saw so it was standing upright as a normal band saw would.

Reminds me of when my 4" grinder with a cutoff wheel kicked back and Itried cutting my thumb off. The roadkill guys don't call those "deathwheels" for nothing.

I once stabbed a set of metal shears straight through my hand. When I opened all my fingers why there is actually a hole you can see through. The really nasty part was cleaning it out as I was cutting greasy metal with it at the time

Wish I could find the pictures of when I ran a box knife down the length of my index finger a few years ago. Looked a lot like your finger. Scar still hurts when it's cold outside. And I'm very cautious with box knives now, not the best way to learn a lesson though
