Rivets huh? So that is permanent then. No way to take rivets off. Doggone engineers done tricked us!:zombie:
From my days as an A&P aircraft mechanic, I have drilled and removed more rivets than I care to think about. - It' not hard - drill the rivet out with a drill bit 1 or 2 number sizes smaller that the rivet. For 1/8" rivet use a #31 or #32 bit, drill almost all the way through the rivet and then tap out the shell with a pin punch.

That point Mr. Richker, is what I'm trying to point out to Mike. He's done uber spectacular things with this Cyclone and wants to tell me rivets are holding him back.:nonono:

What're you doing Chris! I'm not in Alabama, so I'm drinking.....oh....wait a minute......if I were there I would be.....working on the monster AND drinking!

Honestly Dave, I am doing nothing... lol.. The heat index here today was 104 degrees. So it's Miller time while watching a movie with kids :)

Sorry your flight didn't work out. I honestly was looking forward to the Mike and Dave show all weekend

Yeah, me too buddy.

Hotter than hell here as well. Instead of painting orange tomorrow morning, I'm cutting the grass before the sun burns all things to cinder! I'd rather be in Alabama.

Mike and I are planning to do a version 2.0 of the monster getting a new dress. Hopefully about a month from now.

Talking him into a three-tone paint scheme???
lol

Nah, I'm just here to explain to Mike better ways of doing what he wants, not changing the view he has.

That's your job.:D

I don't know if you have noticed or not Dave. But Mike kinda Hates me... lol I'm just kidding(kinda) in all honesty I know Mike has put a lot of thought and time in his vision for the monster-and I hope it turns out better than he could have ever imagined. With your help I think that will happen. The only thing I want to talk him into is setting up the go pro :)

Mike hates everyone, don't pay attention to that sht.

I've found through the forum that Mike likes to speak his mind irregardless to anyone's "feelings".

But dealing with him over the phone (and just this close in person), he's actually a nice fellow. He's really sharp, which makes him impatient with us lesser mortals. He, I think, believes he's an original thinker. Somewhat true with his cool cars. Yet, as a real outsider, I think he would be riding a purple unicorn to work to show he's not a conformist.

He's nicer than you think though Chris, don't sweat him too much. He really is good people to know. Based on my knowledge of human character, I believe he's the kind you could trust in a fox hole to watch your back. Just can be a little btchy at times.

Mike hates everyone, la lala, la la, lalalalala, la la. Just can be a little btchy at times.

Let me just help you get to the point. :)

And Dave, I didnt want to derail Scott's thread too much since I dont really know him. But in here, I feel right at home. You didnt offend me with the "not being a young man" comment what so ever. Youre a good dude, as is Mike, regardless of all the shenanigans we pull up in here.

regardless of what you think irregardless is still not a word in any form of the English language... and it kills me.

it is a double negative and would then mean "in regard to" you may use irrespective in its place as it has a similar place in the English language as regardless. irregardless was first used in written language in the late 1700's but to date is still NOT A FUGGIN WORD!!!!!!!

No doubt Dave that Mike is a good guy, and if he really hated me-it would be like when I was new(er) and he completely ignored me,as opposed to the 70% of the time he ignores me now :) lol...

Look,.......it's like this:

If I dislike you, I'll ignore you.

Unless you say something really stupid, or leave something that you said that was really stupid after it was corrected, or pointed out as being stupid.

(usually by me).

Then I will not ignore you.

In that case I'll dislike you while I correct, or point out the stupid shi t you say, or said.

Only after that, will I ignore you.

Now,....I'm ignoring you all,.....I'm going to sleep.

Haha hahaha my turn to **** with stuff...... don't worry Mike I'm an "expert" with lots of "experience" I'll get Dat Der mon-sitter runnin guuud I tells ya hu-wut.... :flag:

Yes,...you're right. It will be your turn. I guess I'll apologize in advance then?

Rivets huh? So that is permanent then. No way to take rivets off. Doggone engineers done tricked us!:zombie:

Nothing is permanent, but I've learned to leave things that work well enough,....... alone.

Found Mike on FEP.. He's awfully nice to those guys over there.....
lol
You just haven't looked around enough over there, Chris......Every now and then I'll make some comment, and it'll get flamed from a dozen do gooders that point out how I was being mean/rude/inconsiderate. It's like you're in Stepford.

Well Sir,...why don't I buy you a plane ticket on SWA, and you can fly here,....get into the trunk,...skink into position so that you can drill through that peened over factory rivet, in a space where you cant get a drill motor perpendicular to the rivet, and then try to swing the hammer in even less space to tap out the rivet that cant be drilled?
It'd be worth the 500.00 just to watch.

It's not about the process involved to get them out, it's the fact that it isn't worth the trouble..

That is nonsense,....Contrary to what I said last night, (When I was tired, drunk, and sore) I don't hate anybody....I only dislike people. I dislike some people more than others, (and I'm quite sure they dislike me equally), and they had to work hard to get to that level. Currently, you're not on any of those lists.
Unless you keep suggesting things that I end up doing after I tell you several times that I'm not doing it,
Then I'll dislike you.

Let me just help you get to the point. :)

Like I said above w/ regard to FEP,....I prefer a little bit of push and pull. I expect people to hold me to a standard If I slip up and do something shoddy. @old_blue gets credit for pointing out the closet shelf standard that got used on G Hood #2 as being below par, and It's not there anymore (MOF,.....nor is G hood #2). I'm glad you find "Mike's place" so comfortable Nick,.... Just remember to throw your empty beer cans in the trash,...I just spent 3 full days cleaning the garage.

And in my absence,... a word Nazi apostle appears..... You mean I'm not the only one that has to have his bite altered from grinding my teeth every time I see the word "prolly" get used instead of PROBABLY?.....
