So I bought this car last year from a buddy. It was deteriorating in a field so I got it at a decent price. The car is maroon and the interior is red, I hate red, so I bought a grey dash and console. The defrost wasn't working so I replaced the heater core, thermostat and installed the grey dash. Next I am going to be doing the brakes, lots of brake dust on rims, then some Recaro Specialist seats...the car sucks to drive, who ever owned it before my buddy thought they were a gangster..terrible tilt to the center. After the car is safe and comfortable to drive I am going to put in some subframe connectors and do the five lug disc brake swap..some centerline rims and tires to be determined. I think this winter I will install the hydro boost brake system I have. After the brakes, seats, and subframe are snuffed up I am going to install a 351 w I have. It is in an old work van...I bought it from Ford and had the dealer install the long block two years ago..so new heads and cam are gonna be on the to do list..along with all the other minutia...hood and oil pan...bla bla bla...eventually I want to install a coyote engine in the car..and the 4r70w automatic...I want to keep it Cruz control and air condition...I think about three years...maybe four.

Reason? Fox bodies were my generations muscle car! I graduated in 1990... so it is f-n cool. I want a car to road trip with the wife and be able to haul ass when we want...I want a hot rod that is classy..and I wanna blast Tesla, deff Leppard, motley crue,...all the good stuff that was original to the car...haha...

My gen "x" muscle car too but i'm cranking up Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Pennywise, etc in my 90' 5.0. Please post some pictures so we get a glimpse of what your working with and sets your thread up with 'before' pictures.

Well..I do have better things to do than **** around on the internet..so...see ya
Easy bro that response sounded a little harsh. We are all 5.0 enthusiasts and love to see what others drive and follow people as they build up their cars AKA "build threads".

To post pictures look next to "post reply" and find the "upload file". From there you can select files from your hard drive to post.

I know the upload button differs between tablet,pc,IOS or android-but here's what it looks like on my iPhone for pic uploading.

And.... Welcome to Stangnet. Looking forward to updates about your project :)

Gonna put new brake calipers and pads on tomorrow...universal joints on both ends of the drive shaft later in the week and I have some hatch weather stripping on its way. Next week I'm gonna do a head light replacement and she should be road worthy...need turn signals fixed though...

That's s good looking car man, looks really straight . Other than brakes and u joints do you have much left to make it a driver?
I had a 88 LX that had a gangster lean seat, turned out the track had broken through the floor lol

@Davedacarpainter will appreciate seeing a clean daily driver fox :)
Well looks are deceiving...she is straight...but all the exterior trim is f-d up...ultimately it is going to be stripped, blasted and painted dark silver..the transmission (aod) is strong...the body side windows and hatch glass are good...the rest of the car is going bye bye. Since I bought it I put a pioneer sound system in it...new dash..heater core thermostat and countless hours of wiring work..this poor car was abused...

Ya...a Lot of my buddies listened to that stuff..driving down main street...4 guys in a car head banging...I went cruzing with the girls...something to be said for a high school chick with ratted out hair smelling like white rain and Marlboro reds...lol

I ordered a new ignition switch and a new head light harness. Previously I installed the new dimmer switch and after the sun went down checked to see if it worked..hell no..no interior lights or running lights. So I pulled the head light switch (that should come out easier) and the brown wire was dangling..pushed it back in the harness and no audible click...the retainer must have broke.but I got it to light up...dimmer works great..so come on lmr...I want so bad to be done with the electrical
